What Does Golf Mean To Me?

Golf is a sport that provides a lifetime of fun and un-ending challenge, but golf is so much more than that. It doesn't matter if I've had a rough day on the range or a successful 18-hole round; I am always coming back for more. Golf is so much more than a sport - it's addicting, invigorating, and peaceful.

Golf is Addicting
I have been playing golf for 18 of my 22 years. It remains the best thing I've ever done. Golf may become frustrating, but that frustration turns into hard work. Hard work leads to success. Success leads to the pursuit of perfection.

That is part of the addiction. Golf leaves you continually coming back for more, whether that's another striped drive, another sub-par round, or another drained putt. It is never enough. Nothing can deliver an emotional, mental, and physical challenge like golf. Golf is addicting.

Golf is Invigorating
The constant physical, emotional, and mental challenges of the game are good for the mind & body.
Rough day of work or school? Play some golf.
Celebrating with friends? Play some golf.
Spending time with dad? Play some golf.
Learning something new? Play some golf.

Golf will bring you endless energy and joy. More importantly, it will bring those around you, and those you introduce to the game, the same feelings - a shared experience like no other. Golf is invigorating.

Golf is Peaceful
There is nothing like a cool fall morning on the golf course. Swinging a club, connecting with the ball, and watching it fly is a peaceful sequence in itself. The activity, paired with the course and nature's beauty, is one of the most wholesome and peaceful experiences that I know. Each day on the links promises a new set of sights, sounds, and feelings. Sharing this unique experience with others makes the game even better. Golf is peaceful.

To me, golf is much more than a sport. Sure, it brings the fun, challenge, and competitiveness that every sport brings, but golf is much more than that. Golf has given me some of the best times of my life with some of the best people I know. I am forever grateful for this sport. I don't know where I would be today without golf. I do know that I can't wait for my next tee time.

Golf is addicting. Golf is invigorating. Golf is peaceful.

I love it.
